Ahora, Pancho Saavedra se pronunció al respecto por primera vez en sus redes sociales sobre Toni Espadas.

Querido Toni Espadas, descansa en paz, amigo. Tu amor por África y la pasión en tu trabajo serán una fuente inagotable que nos van a inspirar por siempre“, partió escribiendo Pancho Saavedra. A continuación, comentó que se conocieron por primera vez en un viaje a Uganda con Gorilas de Espalda Plateada.
“Íbamos con el mejor, con el más preparado, con el hombre que cambió nuestra manera de grabar y retratar un continente que, por desgracia, ha sido a menudo mal representado. El entendimiento profundo que Toni compartía sobre la historia de cada lugar, redefinió nuestro concepto de tribu, alejándolo de ese tratamiento ‘exótico’ retratado tantas veces en el medio audiovisual y que Toni detestaba“, relató.
Finalmente, Pancho Saavedra quiso mostrar su gratitud a Toni Espadas, a su familia que atraviesa por un doloroso momento, y por último a RiftValley, la agencia de viajes turísticos extremos que el guía español de hecho fundó.
“La última foto y vídeo retratan nuestros segundos antes de partir a España y luego nuestro largo viaje a Chile (…) Gracias infinitas a cada uno de los miembros del equipo de ‘Socios por el Mundo 3’, nuestros hermanos por siempre, por los abrazos y la contención“, concluyó el comunicador.
