El defensa, actualmente en el Club América, se refirió a su eventual retorno a la U. ¿Será en 2024? Difícil.
Igor Lichnovsky piensa día a día en Universidad de Chile. A 10 años de su salida, sueña con retornar al club que lo formó y en el que logró sus primeros hitos profesionales. ¿Qué tiene que pasar para que vuelva a vestir de azul? El físico le tiene que permitir representar la camiseta como corresponde.
Y es que a pesar de no tener fecha de regreso, el central de 30 años anhela volver a la U. Así lo manifestó en conversación con ESPN, dejando en claro algo: si está sufriendo con las lesiones ni lo pensará. No quiere exhibir una mala imagen en el equipo de sus amores.
“Siempre he estado hablando con el club, es mi casa. Todavía está el utilero de cuando llegue a los 10 años. Voy y le doy charla a los niños pequeños en las inferiores. No solo un rol dentro de la cancha, quizá, porque soy súper consciente en el tema de yo estar bien físicamente”, comenzó indicando.
“Me cuido, ojalá se me den todos los años posibles. Si en algún momento siento que las rodillas o otra cosa no me dan, yo diría que no (volvería). Si no me diese en el tema físico, diría que no, pero es mi anhelo. Sería perfecto”, aseguró.
Un romántico viajero
Finalmente, el seleccionado nacional entregó los motivos que frecuentemente lo hacen pensar en volver a casa. El azul de Universidad de Chile lo tiene impregnado en las venas desde que vivía en Peñaflor. Pasan los años y el sentimiento es el mismo, a pesar de que esté radicado en México.
“Soy muy romántico. O sea, veo al Igor de niño viendo a la U… es un anhelo. Lo único que me preocupa a mí de esto, es la ilusión al hincha. Quizás a mí ni siquiera se me quiere tanto por lo que pudimos haber logrado, que fue muy bueno en ese tiempo”, cerró.

El siguiente partido de la U será ante Municipal Puente Alto por Copa Chile. Se jugará el lunes 17 de junio, desde las 19:00 horas, en el Estadio Nacional.
