La Selección Chilena jugará ante Perú este viernes a las 20:00 en el AT&T Stadium en Arlington, Texas por la primera fecha del Grupo A de la Copa América 2024. La zona ya inició con un triunfo por 2-0 de Argentina ante Canadá en Atlanta.
¿Qué pasa si Chile gana el Clásico del Pacífico? En caso de triunfar, la Roja se instalará en zona de clasificación al término de la primera jornada y eventualmente quedará a una victoria de clasificar a los cuartos de final, salvo que tres selecciones terminen con seis puntos y una sin sumar unidades. En aquel caso entrarán a jugar los criterios de desempate.
¿Qué pasa si Chile empata ante Perú? En una eventual igualdad, tanto la Roja como la Selección Peruana quedarán compartiendo el segundo lugar del Grupo A. En el escenario de Chile, tendría que ganarle a Argentina y Canadá para asegurar la clasificación o sumar un triunfo más y entrar a jugar con los criterios de desempate.
¿Qué pasa si Chile pierde ante Perú? Si cae en el debut. la Selección Chilena finalizará la fecha 1 fuera de puesto de clasificación, aunque no quedará eliminada de la Copa América. No obstante, sí deberá sumar con urgencia ante Argentina para mantenerse con chances de clasificación. En caso de caer en el debut y luego frente a la albiceleste, la Roja puede despedirse tempranamente del certamen de selecciones, aquello si Perú suma ante Canadá.
La diferencia de goles será importante, ya que es el primer criterio de desempate en caso de igualdad en puntaje. Por aquello, será clave ganar por la mayor cantidad de goles posible y en caso de perder, idealmente que sea por un margen cerrado.
¿Cuáles son los criterios de desempate en la fase de grupos de la Copa América 2024?
Según indican las bases de la Copa América 2024 los criterios de desempate en la fase grupos son los siguientes:
• 1º criterio: Mayor diferencia de goles en la totalidad de los partidos del grupo que integran los equipos que empataron la posición. La diferencia de goles se obtiene restando los goles recibidos de los goles marcados.
• 2º criterio: Mayor cantidad de goles a favor en la totalidad de los partidos del grupo que integran los equipos que empataron la posición.
• 3º criterio: Enfrentamiento directo, considerando sólo aquellos partidos disputados en la fase de grupos entre los equipos que empataron la posición a definir a favor del equipo con:
i. Mayor número de puntos obtenidos en los partidos de la fase de grupos entre los equipos en cuestión;
ii. Mayor diferencia de goles en los partidos de la fase de grupos entre los equipos en cuestión. La diferencia de goles se obtiene restando los goles recibidos de los goles marcados;
iii. Mayor cantidad de goles a favor en los partidos de la fase de grupos entre los equipos en cuestión.
• 4º criterio: Menor número de tarjetas rojas.
• 5º criterio: Menor número de tarjetas amarillas.
• 6º criterio: Por sorteo.
