Alex Padilla, el portero mexicano que milita en España, podría debutar en el máximo circuito del futbol español gracias al Athletic Club.
El nacido en aquel país recibió su convocatoria para el partido de este sábado ante el Burgos luego de que Unai Simón será baja por una lesión en la muñeca.
¿Quién es Alex Padilla?
Padilla es originario de Zarauz, Guipúzcoa, comunidad autónoma del País Vasco. Su madre es mexicana y por ende tiene ambas nacionalidades.
Comenzó su carrera como futbolista en las fuerzas básicas del Athletic Club B. Fue en noviembre del año pasado cuando llamó la atención luego de que Ernesto Valverde lo incluyera en el primer equipo como el tercer portero.
Respecto al tema de selecciones nacionales, hace unos años fue convocado por la Sub-19 de España pero desde el 2022 no recibe ningún llamado. Por ende, la Selección Mexicana aprovechó y lo convocó con la Sub-23.
