Ana Guevara, quien antes de dedicarse a la política era una atleta de alto rendimiento que participó en los Juegos Olímpicos de 2000 y 2004, se ha visto envuelta en una polémica desde finales de 2022 por retirar el apoyo de Conade de nadadores y clavadistas.

Desde 2018, Ana Gabriela Guevara fue nombrada como titular del organismo deportivo nacional. La plataforma Nacional de Transparencia percibe que la política percibe un suelo de 105 mil 228.35 pesos, esto equivale a 500 salarios mínimos.
