El mediocampista de 31 años que se desempeña en Universitario de Perú confiesa que la tuvo difícil en Perú y Colombia. Además, se refiere a la realidad de los jugadores argentinos y uruguayos que llegan al fútbol chileno.
Rodrigo Ureña actualmente se desempeña en Universitario, uno de los clubes grandes de Perú. El jugador anteriormente estuvo en América de Cali, uno de los gigantes de Colombia.
En nuestro país también tuvo la oportunidad de jugar en un grande como la Universidad de Chile. El jugador de 31 años realizó una comparación sobre lo que considera que pasa en nuestro fútbol con lo que vivió en Colombia y Perú.
“Voy a ser súper sincero, a nosotros nos pasa mucho en Chile que llega cualquier argentino, uruguayo y se les idolatra a las dos semanas”, señaló en conversación con el programa ESPN F90.
En ese sentido, se refirió a su paso por el fútbol colombiano. “A mí en Colombia me tocó súper difícil, súper complicado, un fútbol super nacionalista”, expresó.
También se refirió a lo que vivió en Perú: “En Perú no es fácil, no te la ponen fácil, te toca pelearla, te toca remarla. Uno con su fútbol, con sus características por ahí tiene algo distinto y eso empezó poquito a poco a llegar a la gente. En un principio también fui criticado. Con trabajo, mucho esfuerzo, siento que pude revertirlo tanto acá como en Colombia, que también me tocó súper difícil”.
Luego volvió a comentar a su paso por Colombia: “Llegué a un club muy grande con América de Cali, también salir campeón el primer año fue duro, fue difícil, en el fútbol colombiano hay siete equipos grandes”.
Ureña valoró tener experiencia en competencias internacionales: “Considero que en mi carrera no ha sido nada fácil. Dentro de todos mis logros lo más importante es que he jugado muchos torneos internacionales, por ahí he jugado ocho Copa Libertadores, eso me avala por ahí en mi forma de ser, en mi forma de jugar”.
