Un integrante del la U reveló que su madre lo obligó a trabajar para mantenerse en el club que lo formó.
El fútbol entrega historias de todo tipo, desde la más cruda hasta la más curiosa. Una de ellas fue protagonizada por una figura de Universidad de Chile: tuvo que llegar a acuerdo con su madre para seguir con su carrera.
Ese es el caso de Israel Poblete. En conversación con LUN, el volante de 29 años confesó que cuando estaba en las divisiones inferiores de Cobresal, su mamá le advirtió que debía estudiar. Él prefirió trabajar.
“Siempre quise ser futbolista, pero mi mamá, en 2012, cuando tenía 17 años, me dijo que tenía que estudiar algo. Y como yo quería seguir jugando, llegamos a un acuerdo”, comenzó señalando.
“Le dije que trabajaría un año mientras jugaba y si no pasaba nada con el fútbol, me metía a estudiar. Trabaje en el kiosko del Colegio Excelsior y en las tardes entrenaba”, agregó.
¿Cómo le fue con el acuerdo? Finalmente, cumplió el sueño de pibe y ahora se gana la vida haciendo lo que más le gusta: jugar fútbol. “Como me fue bien en Cobresal, al año dejé la pega y me hice futbolista profesional”, complementó.

Además de lograr llegar al profesionalismo, Israel Poblete llegó a uno de los clubes más grandes del país. Su estadía en Universidad de Chile le ha cambiado la vida y ahora es, incluso, rostro de una empresa dedicada a la nutrición.
Él está contento y cómo no, si intenta mantener una vida saludable. “Yo trato de comer equilibrado para ser una persona sana. (…)No es que haga esto por algún principio valórico u otra motivación”, comentó.
En dicha línea, aseguró que un asado no se le niega a nadie. Come verduras, pero la carne no la deja. “Me cuido, pero si hay un asado voy con todo, igual que el resto. Si me invitan a comer a alguna parte, como lo que me den. “Nunca tan mañoso”, cerró.
